A generous gift can do even more this fall. Through November 30, the Scotty Snow Family Foundation is offering up to $30,000 in matching support for Serving Our Kids through The Gratitude Challenge. Together, we can turn $45,000 in community donations into $75,000 to help provide weekend meal bags for local food-insecure children throughout the school year.

The challenge grows in three stages:

• The first $10,000 raised is matched dollar for dollar, adding $10,000 from the Foundation.
• The next $15,000 raised unlocks another $10,000 from the Foundation.
• The next $20,000 raised unlocks the final $10,000 from the Foundation.

Every donation helps us move toward the next milestone and bring more support to children who count on us when school meals are unavailable. We are grateful to the Scotty Snow Family Foundation for giving our community a meaningful way to make its generosity go further.

Reaching more children starts with reaching the people who can help. KEMP Broadcasting is a valued Serving Our Kids champion, helping bring attention to childhood hunger and the ways our community can support weekend meal bags for local food-insecure children throughout Southern Nevada.

With more than 25 years on the air, KEMP connects with Southern Nevada through a locally owned network of radio stations and outdoor advertising. Its stations include HOT 97.5 KVEG, 670 AM KMZQ and the newly launched 106.9 FM KVGQ, which began its talk radio format on September 1. The company also reaches residents and visitors through static billboards and digital outdoor displays across Las Vegas.

That local reach gives our mission an opportunity to connect with new volunteers, donors and community partners. We are grateful to KEMP Broadcasting for helping more people learn how they can make a difference for children facing food insecurity in our community.

Five thousand meal bags in just over an hour, now that’s teamwork with a purpose!

On September 23, MGM Resorts International employees at Mandalay Bay came together for an employee Day of Service during Hunger Action Month. Their time and energy helped Serving Our Kids prepare 5,000 weekend meal bags to support local children facing food insecurity.

The effort reflects MGM Resorts’ broader commitment to employee volunteerism and community service. Across the company, employees contributed more than 98,000 volunteer hours in 2025, supporting organizations in the communities where they live and work.

For Serving Our Kids, that commitment means helping children have food when school meals are unavailable on the weekends. We are grateful to MGM Resorts International and the Mandalay Bay team for putting their commitment into action and helping us feed more dreams.

The new school year is underway, and Serving Our Kids is reaching more students across our community. For the 2026–2027 school year, we are serving 112 schools, including 14 new schools, and providing 6,000 weekend meal bags each week to help children bridge the gap between Friday’s school lunch and Monday’s breakfast.

Behind every meal bag is a coordinated effort to get food where it is needed. We have added another truck route to support deliveries as our school network grows. Our volunteers are also taking on an additional activities with applesauce parties, helping repackage applesauce into individual servings for our weekend meal bags volunteer bagging events.

This growth is possible because volunteers, donors and community partners continue to show up for local kids. Each school added means more children have support for the weekend, helping them return to class ready to learn.
